So Much Fabric

Published by at 9:00 pm under entertainment

PhotobucketI just got home from one of my favorite places. Yep, the fabric store. I had to buy some clasps to finish a purse I made. I was so tempted to buy more fabric! What is it about all the different colors and designs that makes me want to buy more? They have all niche and promotional products displayed right next to the things I need. I can’t help but see and then want the newest quilt book and accessories to make another quilt. Tonight it was all the fall and Halloween fabric that beckoned. I wanted to buy fabrics of gold, green and rust. I have seen the cutest table runner pattern that would be perfect sewn in those colors.

I know how you feel about “buying” more fabric. I have about 8 huge plastic tubs of fabric and they have almost taken over my house. Periodically I go through them looking for certain fabrics. Also I have 2 HUGE bags of scraps that I can’t even think of throwing away. I go through it often looking for a smaller piece of whatever as I hate cutting the larger pieces just for a small one. Today I need to go to Hobby Lobby and Walmart for some ribbon and some twill. And I have a big stack of things to sew. But…going into a fabric store can be deadly. I sometimes tell people this…a seamstress going into a fabric store is almost as bad as an alcoholic going into a liquor store.

I love seeing all the new fabrics but I seriously have no place to put any… I AM going to get organized… I AM :)

I buy fabric for the same reasons I buy blank notebooks, because I have too. I know I have more than I will ever use. Holiday fabric is the best!

Fabric can be addictive. I worked at a fabric store. Quilters are the worst… LOL

      Good Luck…

I’m finding it hard to resist nice fabric too. Especially earthy tones and velvety stuff. Too bad I don’t have nice patterns or a nice body to put it on.

I sometimes try to make purse with the fabric i wear as its kinda creative to take a matching purse with your suit .. Try making a purse with the fabric left and you will surely love it
