Four Foods on Friday #47
Today has been so busy that I almost forgot to do my favorite meme! Four Foods on Friday hosted by Val on Fun Foods and Crafts asked the following questions.
#1. Share a recipe for something Italian.
I pour Prego out of the jar and serve it over spaghetti noodles. That is the truth.
#2. Jam, jelly, preserves, marmalade, fruit butter or butter. What’s on your toast or bread?
I love homemade jam. Since I don’t do that kind of thing I don’t eat it much. I have to be satisfied with grape jelly from Smuckers or Welchs.
#3. What’s your favorite Kellogg’s product? (Since they’re multinational I’m hoping everyone can answer this one. If you don’t have Kellogg’s products, what’s your favorite cold breakfast cereal?)
I like Kellog’s Frosted Flakes
Isn’t Tony the Tiger their representative?
#4. Do you like liver? I like liver when my mom fries it. I am very particular about how it is cooked. I don’t eat it anymore because, my mom doesn’t cook anymore (or so she says), and it is bad for my high cholesterol.
What about liverwurst? I don’t think I have ever tried liverwurst. It just sounds bad.

I’ve made your recipe before, only with Ragu instead of Prego. lol
I use Prego too but I add extra onions, garlic and tomatoes, sometimes mushrooms. I can’t stop now, my kids have come to expect the extras.
Anything with the word “wurst” in it is not something I want to eat either!
I love jarred sauce on pasta and I love Frosted Flakes, they’re G-R-R-R-8!
LOL I say easy is the best way to go!
I add mushrooms to mine. I forgot to add that. I loooove mushrooms.

I always buy jarred sauce as well. Why not? It’s delicious and cheap. I really like Paul Newman’s Sockerooni.

Thanks for the comment! I had some homemade jam recently that my sister-in-law made, and it didn’t keep well. It molded! I think I’ll stick with preservatives. ha.

I’ve used a jar sauce in the past and then I discovered it was just as easy to open a can of tomato sauce and a few seasonings for a great tasting sauce. I think we all love the easy way.

I know Prego is one of my favorites! I think it’s all good. I spend my time making meatballs — then I pour the Prego over it all. Sounds like good stuff to me!

i think you & I were separated at birth. We have so many of th esame favorites. Add Frosted Flakes & Welches Grape to the list. Oh, and if you like liver you’ll like liverwurst. Trust me on this one.

I tried commenting but apparently my math skills are bad (though I thought 3+9=twelve? Guess I was wrong). I hate spam protection, even more I hate spammers who make spam protection a requirement. Ugh.

I really hate liver but I love liverwurst. Spread it on a sandwich and you’ve got awesome depth of flavors. mmmmmm!
