Long Sleeve Shirts
Call me crazy but I am sitting in my office wearing a long sleeved shirt. Fall is here! We had a storm over the weekend that brought in a huge rain and lowered our temperatures. I hope it stays this way for awhile and doesn’t turn cold. I would like to wear a sweatshirt for a few weeks before dragging out my winter coat.
I woke up to frost on the ground this morning. A few more days of frost and my perinnials will be ready to cut down. I think they are supposed to dry up before you chop them down. The nutrients from the plant will go back down to the roots and keep them nice and healthy for next year. I will keep an eye on them and cut them down when it is time to drag out the outdoor furniture covers. We have a few wooden pieces of furniture that I like to protect against ice an snow. Hubby has been keeping the gas grill in the barn so he can use it all year.
The only project I dread when fall rolls around is cutting down the Papas grass bush. It is huge. If we leave the plumes on it, they blow all over the yard and make the snow look ugly. It is better to cut the bush down to the ground. It is not an easy task. LOL

Karen, it’s fall here in OH as well. I’m sitting here in my office with a light blanket around my shoulders.
Of course, I still have all of windows and the front door open.
But that’s the beauty of early fall!
