Meet Me at ForumFinder

It is a bit disheartening to write on a blog and feel like no one reads what you have to say. I have a blog that I use to keep track of my craft and sewing projects. Winding Threads is a fairly new blog that needs readers. I have been checking out ways to get the word out about this blog.

I was reminded of a great place that was set up to give its members a way to promote their blogs, sites and forums and do so for FREE. Woo hoo! I had totally forgotten about ForumFinder. Here it was, sitting and waiting for me to utilize it so it could go to work for me. ForumFinder has a whole section called the Promotion Zone that is set up to help users promote their blogs. By simply listing the name and url of my blog, a brief description and the date my blog was born, I can get my blog out there so readers can find it. This is exactly what I have been looking for.

Another fun feature at the ForumFinder website it the blog comment exchange. I cannot tell you how many times I have written about something near and dear to my heart only to find that the post seems to be ignored. How can what is so cool to me never get an acknowledgment from anyone? Well, we are busy people. Things get overlooked. The Forum Finder’s blog comment exchange is a group of members who are dedicated to the effort of increasing comments and driving traffic to each others blogs. It is a great way to find quality blogs that become your favorites and to meet new bloggers. I can’t wait to introduce them to my Winding Threads blog.

I hope to meet you over at ForumFinders!

Yeah, I’m not a fan of when I feel like noone is reading. Once I challenged readers to donate a couple of bucks to a charity an offered to match it. No donations, no comments except for the girl I’d been blogging about in regard to the charity.

disabling right clicks is so tacky on images used as links. It’s even tackier, when it’s an image you ripped off the site you are linking to anyway. no worries though, it doesn’t work in ff3, just made me click OK before the menu came up.

      What are you talking about?

I’m definitely enjoying my time over at the ForumFinder forums.

As for Brad, he’s referring to the ‘no right click’ script you have enabled on the page. I assume that he, like me, prefers to right click>Open in new Tab/window when clicking a link on a blog. Your script to prevent image theft (which doesn’t actually prevent image theft, BTW) makes this more difficult.

I figured that was what he meant. I didn’t like him making out like I stole it from someone. I know the right click does not prevent image theft in FF.

So, why was Brad right clicking on the image anyway? Was he trying to “steal” it too?

Anyway, unlike Brad, ForumFinder sounds like a smart way to get your blog out there and read!
