Sarah Palin for Vice President
How do you feel about McCain’s choice for his running mate? Sen. John McCain today announced Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his vice presidential candidate. Palin, 44, has been governor of Alaska since 2006. I like the fact that she entered a beauty contest to win a scholarship. No acne problems were going to keep this gal from going to college and moving up in the world. She studied journalism and worked as a sports journalist until deciding to get into politics. She became a city council woman and went on to become mayor of her hometown. Eliminating taxes was her main goal as mayor. She is well versed in the field of oil and gas resources. Palin held the position of chairman of the Alaska’s Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. I hope that gives her the tools to help our country get out of this oil crisis. Palin is the mother of five, of which the youngest was diagnosed in utero with downs syndrome.

My youngest has Down Syndrome. I had read about her earlier this year and applauded her decision to keep the baby. I think this years race for president may have the most diverse candidates ever.
I believe in Sarah Palin’s capabilities and she would really prove her to be a great solution provider as she did while she was mayor. One thing which could go notorious about her is Oil and Gas sector interests with her and i hope she would not profoundly promote such things apart from her political career. rest is all good and this is nice to have a lady as vice president of USA with some humble attitudes towards the third world critical situation in health, mother and child care conditions. I expect out of her presidential exposures that she would practically pour herself to promote the cause of family life and eradicating typical American single life style in her regime. Heavy duties onto their shoulders this time when bush policies spoiled American image and made this world a big warship against itself.
best of luck Sarah!

I agree. I hope she will make big changes for our country. She sounds like a go-getter.
I don’t know enough about her political stands yet, but I like that she openly breastfeeds and is an NRA member. She seems like an interesting woman, if nothing else!
Sarah was great at the RNC tonite, but then again she’s had nearly a week to do nothing but practice and polish what McCain’s speechwriter gave her — and facts are still facts:
It’s not Palin running for president…. it’s McCain.
It’s not Palin who will have the power of veto… it’s McCain.
It’s not the Vice President that calls the shots…. it’s the President.
If Palin was running for President, I just might vote for her — but she’s not.
Make no mistake about it: Palin is running on the #2 position as a consequence of Obama’s own idiotic VP pick and by virtue of the fact that McCain needed woman voters.
Interesting points, Chris. I think she has more in store for all of us.
Normally I don’t believe in polygamy, but I might ask Todd Palin if he could make an exception here. =D
Seriously though, I love this woman. What a much needed and refreshing face!
