Mom Is Home

Published by at 12:47 pm under a bit of everything

It is so good to have my Mom back home. She had to make a quick trip to Washington and was gone for almost a month. She is my sewing buddy and I don’t accomplish very much when she is gone, although, I did make this bag for a friend. It was my friend’s birthday and since she had bought fabric for me to make her a purse, I thought I really should get it done.

The second picture is of the inside of the bag. This is the first time I made a cell phone holder and also the first time I put in magnetic closures.

Mom came over yesterday and we finally got to sit down and talk about what she had done on her trip. She also told me that her poor bushes need some tlc and I tried to find the paperwork for the company we used last year when we had bag worms. I found a ton of receipts for doctor visits and the one from the plumber for our new Delta faucets but do you think I could find the one for the tree guy? My filing system always seems good until I try to find something. I finally just looked in the phone book for the number. It is hard to find a number when you don’t know the name of the business.

Mom is tired and has a cold but I know she is glad to be back home. Her dog is also glad she is home.

She sounded good today, I just got off of the phone with her. I wish her cold would improve though. I bet it is good to have her back. :-D

that’s a sweet post. :) in a few months, i’ll be leaving home myself, so in a way, both my folks will be away. in my culture, families tend to be quite close, so i’m sure i’ll miss them quite a bit as well.

These bags are simple to make. Do you sew at all, Erica?

That is cute! You and Lynne have a real talent for making those bags. I wish I could sew– I just don’t have the patience for it.

Hi, my wife would love a bag like that, would you make one to order by any chance? if so how much would one cost, she loves one off unique items.
