Shoes That Fit
Oh my goodness! Back to school supply commercials have started! I especially love the commercial where the mom is racing up and down the aisles of the store. She throws pencils, pens and paper into her cart and joyfully races around the store. She is so happy that her children are going back to school. That was me! I loved summer and the lazy days it provided when the kids were not forced to get up early each day. However, day after day of boredom grew old quickly and soon I was wishing that my fighting brood of two were hitting the books again.
I did enjoy shopping for clothes for the kids. I ran across a website that helps moms and dads with the frustration of getting quality and comfortable shoes for kids. It is important for kids to have shoes that support their feet. When our children are small we know how important trainers are in shaping a child’s foot by giving support where needed. Children’s trainers are especially important as they allow a child’s foot grow while shaping the foot. It is just as important to have sturdy, comfortable school shoes. Having ill fitting shoes can affect a child’s performance in school. Nothing ruins concentration more than aches and pains from feet that hurt. Having shoes that fit properly helps with their posture and their concentration.

It used to be that quality shoes meant ugly, drab shoes. That is not the case when you fit your child with Start-rite school shoes. Kids actually like the looks of Start-rite shoes. If the kids attend school where uniforms are required, they will probably notice many of their friends wearing stylish Start-rite school shoes.
All of this talk about school shoes is making me miss having little ones in school. Too bad Start-rite doesn’t carry men’s size 13 for my grad student, Greg.

I get a kick out of most of those ads, too, but the one that really annoys me is the JC Penny Breakfast Club commercial. It just really grates on me the way they turned the movie into a commercial. It seems wrong.
I guess that’s how the baby boomers felt when Nike started using Beatles songs in their ads.

That woman in that commercial could be me this year! I can’t wait for the kids to go back to school. The fighting lately has been unreal.
Only two more weeks to go. Yay!!
