You Can Make A Difference

Published by at 2:55 pm under health

Have you noticed all the back to school supplies that are filling the aisles at your local department stores? Soon, it will be time to send the kiddos back to school and we will all have our days back. Most of us look forward to a bit of quiet while we are getting things done around our homes. If you are like me, you are a bit melancholy about sending them off again. I want to tell you about something that will give you something especially worthwhile to mark the season. You can make a difference by walking in the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk®. This event raises awareness and funds for one of the most horrible diseases, Alzheimer’s. Almost everyone I know has been affected by this disease.

There is a huge need for team captains for the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk®. It only takes a bit of your time and the 2-3 mile walk is typically held on a weekend morning in the fall. Make your kids proud as they see their mom doing something to help others. Help us reach the point where we can say there is no more Alzheimer’s.
