To Hell in a Handbasket
What will happen to YouTube as we know it? Is it their own fault that they are facing troubles now? Should they have put a stop to the number of people who were downloaded copyrighted material? I don’t know what the answers are but I know they are losing revenue faster than a dieter using Anoretix. What can we learn from all of this? Laws are not made to be broken. You might get by with something for a few years but it will eventually catch up with you.
YouTube was created in mid-February 2005 by three former PayPal employees. YouTube uses Adobe Flash technology to display a wide variety of user-generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips and music videos, as well as amateur content such as videoblogging and short original videos. In October 2006, Google Inc. acquired the company for US$1.65 billion in Google stock.
In July 2006, the company revealed that more than 100 million videos were being watched every day. According YouTube’s terms of service, users may upload videos only with permission of the copyright holder and people depicted in the videos.

I sure hope YouTube doesn’t get pulled! I think it has the best system for finding and using videos. It will be interesting to see what happens.
