    Good Eats

I am so glad my kids enjoy cooking. They are like their dad in that respect. Lynn loves to cook. I reap the benefits. I do the dishes.

Greg made baked pork chops, asparagus, corn on the cob and fresh pineapple for dinner tonight. It was wonderful. He took my advice and cooked the corn in the microwave. That was the only advice I offered. He browned the chops in olive oil and then baked them. He put the fresh asparagus in a zip lock bag with spices and shook the bag. Then he cooked the asparagus in extra virgin olive oil with a bold, full flavor. He sprinkled the cooked vegetables with grated Parmesan cheese.

It was marvelous and I now feel like a slug.

I read in one of your other posts about microwaving the corn. I tried it this last week and it was PERFECT!!!! Actually that’s not exactly true….I nuked the first one a bit too long and it was too chewy. Then the next day I nuked another one 2 min shorter and it was much better. Then today I nuked another one 2 min shorter and it was perfect. Yummmmmmmmy!! So thanks for sharing that trick with the blogosphere. I told another really good cook that trick today and she was very impressed.

I am so glad it worked so well for you. So, did you cook them about 4 minutes? LOL at you impressing the other cook. Thanks for the link.
