Four Foods on Friday for Today
I know, it seems like it is Saturday but alas, it is Friday. Here are the questions for Four Foods on Friday.
#1. Name your biggest cooking influence.
My mom. She made basic meals and they always tasted so good. She started out letting me make salad and then I moved up to meatloaf!
#2. What is your ultimate comfort food? chocolate mint chip ice cream. I swear, it can make a headache go away.
#3. Name one must have tool that you think every kitchen should have. The phone number for a good Chinese restaurant.
#4. Share a time saving tip. Cook corn on the cob by wrapping them in wet paper towels. Heat them in the microwave for 6 minutes.

I’ll have to try that corn on the cob. Sounds like a great tip! Thanks Karen
I would never have thought choc mint chip ice-cream would cure a headache. Thanks for the tip. I get headaches when I’m out in the sun, so I’m gonna go hunt down that choc mint!
I’ve never microwaved corn on the cob. Does it come out much different than boiled?
Thanks for playing FFOF.
Stumbled.
I wonder why you get headaches from the sun. That must be awful.
Corn on the cob cooked in the microwave tastes the same. Thanks for the stumble.
My mom started my sister and I in the kitchen by having us make salads, too.
Chocolate has cured many headaches for me. Good thing I like the stuff, huh?
Lol @ your tool tip. I “order in” maybe twice a year if even that. I just don’t think to “not” cook.

Peppermint is good for headaches, so that makes sense that chocolate mint chip ice cream would do the same.
Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream is definitely the best…I didn’t know about cooking corn on the cob that way, thanks for sharing!
You asked if my chopper was electric, it’s a hand chopper made my Zyliss and I have another by Kitchen Aid. I love them both, they are easy to use and easy to clean.
I love your corn on the cob tip. I’ve never cooked corn that way and it sounds so easy. I’m trying it!!
