Hollyhocks and Me
While driving through the countryside yesterday, I saw hollyhocks blooming everywhere. They just sprout everywhere their seeds blow. That is, everywhere besides my yard. I have decided that since I have not had any luck getting my hollyhocks to bloom, I am going to try a different plan. I am going to plant them during February and get them sprouting in my living room before it is time to put them outside. Handy Pantry is a good place to buy certified organic sprouting seeds, sprouters, kits, supplies and information on organic vegetable gardening. I am sure they will let me use their supplies for my hollyhock obsession.

Ah, the elusive hollyhocks. I tried, and tried, and then realized that in this part of the world they only bloom after a season. I lack gardening patience, so I sadly blew them off. But I know several gardening friends who just toss them in the beds and they go nuts. I think maybe they know we want it too much.
Is that what it is? I need to forget it and then they will grow? LOL
Oh how I love Hollyhocks, they are so old fashion! I am a big fan of “It’s a wonderful life” which I guess sometime I will explain why ina multy part series post but anyway, they have a seen in front of a house after the pool episode where there are huge hollyhocks! Only if it were in color…..
