Are They Worth It?
I just read a post on someone’s blog where she was trying to decide whether to buy an iPod touch. She talked about the ability to connect to the internet, hear music, watch movies, store pictures and watch them as a sideshow, check You Tube and watch videos. She would also be able to send and receive e-mails as well as open Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat files. Wow! That is a lot of stuff to be able to do. I am tempted to want one also. What do you think? The price is high, or so I have heard. They cost around $400. Is that right?

I’m in love with my $49 Shuffle, so I’d have to say that it’s not worth it.
I’ve heard nothing but the best about the iPod Touch. I want one as well, but I am waiting until the version 2.0 update comes in June. That will allow you to download all kinds of programs to the iPod Touch. I want to use mine mostly as a PDA where I can take notes in meetings, load and read eBooks, and even play some games! Keep your eyes open in June for this update. It may cost a little more, but I personally think it will be worth every penny. I’ve played with one at our local Apple store, and it is so much fun. I can’t wait! Thank you Economic Stimulus package!
As you know I have returned my iPhone, which is the same as an iTouch, only it has phone capabilities. If you have access to the internet else where the iTouch capabilities are only useful if you are lost and need a map. The note taking feature was handy, but I usually have a pen and paper with me. The price is high as is the package you need to access the internet when not in a wifi location. I have an ishuffle and imini i really enjoy even though I can’t watch videos on them. Let me know if you want to “borrow” one!
