Above and Beyond
Preparing to leave a Disney resort, Paul and Karen Campanale tidied up their room, as most of us do. I don’t want the cleaning staff to think we are total slobs. I put towels in a pile, check the lighting to make sure everything has been turned off and throw away any trash. Well, Paul Campanale dumped a cardboard bowl, not knowing the container inside it held his wife Karen’s engagement, wedding and five-year-anniversary rings. After being told it would be nearly impossible to find the rings, they disappointedly left for their flight.
Back at the Wilderness Lodge resort, executive housekeeper Drew Weaver realized that trash from the Campanales’ villa hadn’t reached the industrial-size compactor yet. He and seven other volunteers donned protective clothing, emptied a parking lot bin and waded through bag after bag of rubbish to find the rings. And they did.

I’ve always had good experiences with Disney staff, although never anything quite like that. We love Walt Disney World.

What great customer service, those people tried on someone elses shoes and did the right thing. Good to know they’re still out there!
