A Stitch For This and That
Oh my goodness. I am worn out. I spent all afternoon having instruction on my sewing machine. There were so many stitches that I never used. Now that I know how to use them I want to try all sorts of things to utilize the stitches. I think that one of the best things I learned was how to make each decorative stitch larger. It makes them look totally different when they are widened and lengthened. I have a stitch that I can use to sew batting together. That will make quilting so much easier.
My instructor went over each foot and how to use it. I have been putting zippers in the purses I have made and I could have been using the zipper foot. It has a wide head and holds the fabric down. That makes putting in a zipper so much easier. I now know that there is a foot to use when sewing decorative stitches. It has a v on the bottom so that the pretty stitches don’t get smashed. That is especially important with satin stitches.
I could go on and on with what I learned to day but I really need to sew! See ya…
