Music Within
On the evening news with Brian Williams, I heard an interesting story about a man who was wounded in the war in Iraq. He lost a leg and began rehabilitation. He is a soldier who feels called to serve. He fought the military to have his right to be an active member of the armed forces reinstated. He won that right and is serving again in Iraq.
There is another soldier who has made a difference in so many people’s lives. A major motion picture called Music Within, was based on the life of Richard Pimentel, and his struggle with a hearing loss that results from an explosion during the War. The movie chronicles Richard’s fight and how one man CAN make a difference as he begins to find his true purpose working on behalf of Americans with disabilities. The movie is now available on dvd.
One Response to “Music Within”

I think, that the military has no right to kick out a man from the active membership of the armed forces only because he lost a leg or hand. Especially if today they can make such replacements, that nobody know something is missing and if the person want go back. Of course not everybody want to go back, because of the trauma.
