Never Enough Fabric
I cannot believe it has been a week since I took my quilting class at the Mountain Quiltfest in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It was so much fun. The only regret I have is that I spent a lot of money. Tee hee. I bought two quilt kits. That is a bag that has all the material needed for the quilt top. I still have to buy the batting and backing material. I keep telling Lynn that this addiction is better than needing alcohol rehab.
I have always wanted to make a log cabin quilt. Now I am going to make one and it will be made of civil war reproduction fabric. I cannot wait to start cutting!
I also bought a jelly roll of red, white and blue fabrics. I bought a pattern that uses the jelly roll in strips. Since I won’t have to cut small pieces, that quilt top should go quickly. I couldn’t resist it. The last jelly roll I bought made such a pretty quilt top. I still have to put borders on it. When mom comes home from Arizona, we are going to hit the fabric stores so I can get material to finish up a few of my projects. At least, that is my plan.

Hi Karen:
I have an addiction to fabric also. I mean mine is so bad, I have tubs of fabric all over my tiny house. I think I could open a Joanns fabric store easily.
LOL But you never know when you will need a certain pattern or fabric. Right?
Wow – you are a busy girl! I want to see pictures…
I wish I could get back into quilting, but blogging seems to have taken over my life for now. I have boxes and boxes full of UFOs, new fabric and scraps – waiting for my old age I guess….

Now I know why you noticed my quilts! I didn’t know you quilted. Blogging has taken up a lot of my time. I used to do a lot of things before I found message boards and PPP. LOL
