They Wore Red

Published by at 8:19 am under entertainment

oscar.jpgSo, what did you think about the Academy Awards last night? I watched a little bit of it because I would rather get up in the morning and have the Today show commentator tell me all about it. I saw the gowns and listened to Stacey London tell me what was good and bad about them. That girl, Stacey London, gets on my nerves. She is a know it all.

I respected Kathryn Heigel for stating, upfront, that she doesn’t feel comfortable being a presenter and having to speak in front of audiences. I could hear her voice shake the same way mine does! That means a lot to me. To get up there and do that was very hard for her yet, she made it all the way through the whole ordeal with a smile. I wonder if she had diarrhea the way I do when I know I am going to have to speak in front of a large group.

To be honest I do not care that much about the Oscars – I enjoy good movies and thats it. Sure sometimes if I can not decide I which movie to watch I consider the Oscar nominations. All news channels mention the Nominations anyway – so why bother to watch.

Appropriate post title-the bright red dress with the matching bright red lipstick seemed to be a popular choice. Did you see Helen Mirren? She was *gorgeous*. I watched the whole thing, and it was sort of bland this year, I think because of the writer’s strike.

The major actor and actress awards all went to foreign-born actors. What does that say about either a. the types of roles they get or b. the type of acting they do? I don’t know, but it’s interesting.

That is what I was saying. Why watch the boring awards show when you can watch the recaps on the news. I usually have never heard of the movies that win.

awards are secondary..it is the storyline and the screenplay which matters. The awards i think are given with 80% accuracy.

I agree. The actors are secondary. The writers and production people are the ones who “make” the movie.
