Four Foods for Friday #18

Published by Karen at 7:53 pm under a bit of everything

It is almost Friday! Yippee Skippieeee! Val has the questions up for Four Foods for Friday and here they are:

#1. Steak. Plain, steak sauce, hot sauce, ketchup or something else? If my husband cooks it I eat it plain. He is a wonderful cook and seasons things just right. If I cook a steak, it requires some A1 Sauce.

#2. Water. Flavored, plain, carbonated. How do you like it? I like cold water out of the tap and over ice. Early in the morning I don’t drink it over ice.

#3. What’s your favorite kind of waffle? I luuuuv butterscotch waffles. Hubby puts butterscotch chips in each waffle after the waffle has set in the iron about 30 seconds.

#4. If you could have any one new small appliance for your kitchen what would it be and why? We need a new toaster oven. I never thought we needed one til we got one. We use it a bunch. Ours is dieing a slow death.

By the way this is one of the easiest and most fun memes of which I participate. If you would like to join us, head over to Val’s blog Fun, Crafts and Recipes and simply answer the questions on a post on your blog and then comment to Val and let her know you did. Simple stuff.

I had no idea you liked butterscotch waffles! In fact, I’d never even heard of butterscotch waffles! :-D

    2. [...] Karen needs a new toaster oven and likes plain water. Karen recently celebrated a birthday, took a trip to Florida, saw a lunar eclipse and had her laptop die. For all of you that need something to chop ingredients. It was on Karen’s site that I found a contest at Melissa’s Place where the prize is a mini chopper. You can earn entries by commenting, blogging and submitting a recipe or learning activity. [...]

I haven’t had a toaster oven since I got a microwave. I gave my last one to the church I went to in New Orleans – we used it a lot ot reheat stuff for church dinners – so that was over twenty years ago, lol!

We got a brand new toaster oven when we got married, and we love it. I had never used one before, but instantly fell in love.
