Is Your Title Clear?

Published by at 10:15 am under business

An internet friend was displaced from her home when Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005. She felt confident that things would be taken care of in a timely manner. After all, she had home owner’s insurance, which she felt would take care of her.

It would be a sad state of affairs to have your home destroyed by a disaster. You know you have insurance and try to remain calm as you try to settle with your insurer. Things are going smooth until you find that there is a glitch. Your home was not titled properly and there is going to be a delay on getting your life back together. A title insurance company makes sure that your title is clear.

I found an article about title insurance and learned that there are so many ways that a title can be misaligned. From underage signers to forgeries, there are many ways that a title might be defective. You can rest assured that if a lawyer suggests that you obtain title insurance, it is something that must be done. In fact, most mortgage lending institutions will not approve a mortgage without title insurance.

Do not assume the risk of not having title insurance through a reputable insurer.
