Optimization
You know, or maybe you don’t, that I write this blog for myself. I use it as a way to journal what goes on in my boring life. I also use it to keep track of information. I often, run across information that I want to check out and see if it is something I should use or try. I have so much going on with work that I usually don’t have time to check something out the minute I see it. If I write about it here, I know where to find the information so that when and if I have time, I can see if it is something I need to implement into my life or my blog.
One article I ran across, way back in June of 2007 was called, Optimizing Your Post Title in Wordpress on the Everybody Go To blog. This, well written article, talks about using post slugs.
Have you seen that box while writing a post on your blog?
I have and wondered what the heck it was doing there. Now I know! I’m not sure that I will use it because, frankly, I don’t care if the search engines find my posts. I write on this blog for me. Optimizing your blog posts is one of the smartest things you can do. Knowingly, adding keywords will naturally help you climb high in the search engines. Which equals more visitors looking for what it is your talking about. Why wouldn’t you want to do that?
