Making Winter Fun
When I think of winter I usually think of how much I dislike it. I hate having to bundle up to go to the mailbox. It is more hassle than I want! As I have gotten older and found that I have osteoporosis, winter has other distasteful attributes. I find the slippery sidewalks and roads to be treacherous. I never felt that way until I realized how much a broken bone changes your life style. Last year at this time, I was laying on the couch in two surgical boots. It was not a fun winter.
Hubby and I try to make plans to do something fun each winter. It helps my outlook to have something to look forward to. I have fond memories of our Carnival cruises. We went on a cruise with our close friends, Linda and Ron. That was a fun time. I love to look at pictures from that trip. The ships are awesome.
This year we hope to drive to Florida to visit our daughter. I think we are going to enjoy having someone to visit in the winter. Especially since she lives where it is usually 40 degrees warmer than here in Indiana.
