Dead Mouse Walking
My kids crack me up! Our dogs were sniffing around the end table in the living room last night. Lynn has been saying he smelled something all last week. We took all the cushions out of the couch and checked and could not find what was causing the odor. Well, the dogs were not giving up last night. The kids pulled the end table out and lo and behold there was a little tiny DEAD mouse. Eeeew! What cracked me up was that my two kids came into the family room, both at different times, to tell me about it and started their conversation with, “Dad said not to tell you but…” They know how I hate mice. We live out in the country so it is inevitable that we will have a mouse every now and then. I keep all of our dry goods in plastic containers so they aren’t attracted to food in our house. They do love dog food. I have started putting the bowls of dog food away each night.

When I lived in an apartment, I got up to go do something and saw a mouse in the living room. The thing is we have a cat. It took the cat about 2 more minutes to reallize that there was a mouse in the room. Do not know what happened to the mouse–the cat was too slow!
