Small Town
It is funny how the things we call important change as we age. When I was younger, I thought it would be fun to be Mary Tyler Moore. I would live in a big city and have an important job. I could imagine myself meeting friends at the coffee shop and then heading to a small but cozy apartment. That is not at all what I am enjoying now! I love living in a rural community where I know just about everyone. Things are pretty laid back in our community. The biggest corporate performance management decision made here is whether to block off traffic for the little league parade. We aren’t lacking for art or culture. We just have our priorities right!
