JacarandaStyle

Published by at 8:33 pm under a bit of everything

This is the time of year to help the less fortunate. It is the Christmas season and that means showing generosity and compassion whenever we can.

JacarandaStyle is a company founded by Dori Rootenberg. Dori’s love of art and design took a wonderful path when she married a South African citizen and began her many visits to Africa. She saw a need and filled it with her entrepreneurship and business sense. Wanting to make a difference, she has taken it upon herself to help the Ethembeni School in South Africa. By donating part of the JacarandaStyle profit, this school, which serves 300 physically disabled and visually impaired children in South Africa, benefits.

JacarandaStyle offers a venue for African artists to sell their beautiful products. Many communities benefit. When you look at the pottery and other items sold on the JacarandaStyle website, you will fall in love with the beautiful and bright colors.

You have probably seen some of these pieces in Food and Wine, Traditional Home, Marie Claire, Ebony and The New York Times. They are quality products treasured in the most beautiful homes. For a short time, you may use the coupon code of “JSTYLE” and save 10% on your purchases from JacarandaStyle. This offer ends December 14, 2007.

To see an example of the beauty of the jewelry from JacarandaStyle, look at this beautiful bracelet.

This jewelry is gorgeous and unusal. I’m also going to share it with my artistic friend (another Karen) as she spent some time in Africa a few years ago, studying some of the fabric dying and other art techniques.

Cool! I’ll bet she will enjoy looking at it and appreciate its value.
