Do you think men are hard to buy for at Christmas? I felt that way until I found Optics Planet. They have cool stuff for guys at reasonable prices. For instance, you can buy cool pair of Ray Ban sunglasses that are the real deal and not a cheap imitation. They also carry the finest quality brand name binoculars and rifle scopes for that hunter on your list. Do you have a teen that is interested in scuba diving or snorkeling? If so, check out the selection of goggles. They can even order prescription goggles so your scuba diver can see what they are looking at! For the preteen, you might consider a microscope to help with their studies. There are a ton of ideas at Optics Planet.com.

It looks like my favorite CEO, Ted Murphy, is heading back to Vegas to add his thoughts during the PubCon Search Marketing Conferences. Ted is a visionary and the CEO of a couple of great companies. I have met so many people and even made some money along the way.
Have fun Ted and tell it like it is!

I am so hard on stuff. My washing machine didn’t last one hundred years and kept the Maytag repairman busy. My unbreakable Corelle dishes shattered in a zillion pieces. My luck with gadgets is just as crazy thus the need for a water resistant, heavy duty, rugged laptop like the RuffBook Tech laptop. It is the most indestructible laptop out there! The Thinking Blog is giving away one of these “superman would want this laptop” laptops. You can enter to win this wonderful laptop by talking about this fantastic contest on your blog! The Thinking Blog is having this amazing giveaway to drive traffic to their blog. Awesome idea!

Oh wow! I have been tagged. It is so much fun to be tagged because it makes me think about things I normally take for granted.
Susan at A Little Bit of Everything tagged me for a meme about me. In case you are wondering, a meme is a simple way of getting to know other bloggers by getting them to tell something about themselves. In turn, they tag someone else to do the meme and so on.
Here’s how it works:
You have to come up with seven “facts” about yourself and post these rules:
1) Link to the person that tagged you, and post the rules on your blog.
2) Share 7 facts about yourself.
3) Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.
4) Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
So…here we go!
1. I have had callouses on my finger since I was 10. I first got them from playing my guitar and now have them from quilting.
2. I have to tell someone when they have food in their teeth. I hope someone would tell me.
3. I once paid over $125 for a pair of shoes and I don’t regret it. I loved those shoes!
4. I don’t like Thomas Kincaid paintings. All those bright colors. Blech.
5. My favorite pie is sugar cream.
6. I have stayed up until 3 am reading a book that I could not put down! It was so good. I wonder why I can’t remember the name of the book. LOL
7. My middle name is Sue.
Now to find out seven things about other people.

Last night when Lynn, Stacy and I went to the movies, we stopped at the poster of the new film that Johnny Depp is in so I could drool a little. Sweeney Todd is going to be fantastic. I cannot wait to see this movie. There is something about Johnny Depp that makes me swoon. Mom, Stacy and I were talking about different actors and how some make us swoon. I don’t find Johnny Depp as handsome as some other actors but he has a way about him that makes me melt.
When he was in Edward Scissorhands, he was so vulnerable that I wanted to rush in and protect him. His poor hands were those big scissors and he couldn’t help himself. I loved the scene when he trimmed all the hedges into animal figures.
The swaggering Jack in Pirates of the Caribbean is also one of my favorite roles of Johnny Depp. I love his goofiness. When he gets into the face of the female actress, his animal magnetism once again makes me drool. I cannot help it! I can still see him being interviewed on the Oprah show. He had on a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He thought carefully each time before he spoke. I hung on every word. I have a fond affection for the word Savvy. One of my most favorite lines in the movie was when Mr. Gibbs was irritated with Jack for waking him. Jack said, “I know how to counter it; the man who did the waking buys the man who was sleeping a drink; the man who was sleeping drinks it while listening to a proposition from the man who did the waking.” How did he say that without cracking up???
I am having trouble deciding which of the two movies is my favorite. I need a tie breaker! Sweeney Todd is sure to be the best! Tim Burton is a genius and so I am sure this movie is going to be one of my favorites. The promotions for this movie are making me crazy to go! You can even visit Sweeney Todd on MySpace! You can visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site to see the trailer and get another look at yummy Johnny. The music is awesome. This is an intense story of a man unjustly sent to prison who vows revenge. Sweeney Todd becomes the Demon Barber of Fleet Street who “shaved the heads of gentlemen who never thereafter were heard from again.” Wouldn’t we all love to be a barber at one time or another?
This is going to be an awesome movie.

I have been so busy getting caught up with our business paperwork since we got home from Vegas. We also took a trip to North Carolina to attend Stacy’s graduation to Petty Officer. We have been busy!
I just now read Drew’s post where he posted a video of our panel. I am going over to watch it now. If you would like to see the video, part one can be found by clicking here. Thanks Drew for installing the video on your blog. I know you are busy too. Give Eva a kiss for me! (Eva is Drew’s new baby girl.)

I am thrilled that our daughter will be living in Florida. Lynn and I love to vacation in Florida. We have spent a couple of our vacations in Fort Myers. The Boston Red Sox training camp is at the City of Palms Park in Fort Myers, Florida. We thought about attending when they trained in Winter Haven but something has always come up that prevented us from going. Attending a Boston Red Sox Spring Training session would be the highlight, aside from visiting Stacy, of our trip to Florida. Lynn and I aren’t big sports fanatics but we do enjoy watching baseball. I think it is the relaxing atmosphere and the historical aspect of the game that sucks us in. When Stacy was stationed in Baltimore, her chief held morale events where they could try for a chance for game tickets. Stacy was thrilled to earn tickets to watch a game at the Oriole’s home field in Baltimore. Talk about experiencing history! There was a statue of Babe Ruth outside the gates. She had an awesome time.
I see, on the Boston Red Sox Spring Training Schedule, they will be playing the Cincinnati Reds on March 5 and again on March 15th. One of those dates should fit in well with our plans. We love visiting Thomas Edison’s winter home and driving around on Sanibel Island. I love the area around Fort Myers. It sounds like a wonderful vacation to me!

Things are getting noisy around here. Stacy arrived on Sunday and has been cooking every day. She has been discovering some of the treasures she left behind. She is going nuts over her books and dvds.
Greg and Taryn arrived a few hours ago. They have been playing video games and ate pizza that Stacy made.
It is fun having the kids here.
