Watch for Deer
Whenever I go out at night, I am on the look out for deer. The farmers in our area have recently cut down the corn stalks and it has the deer on the move. There have been so many accidents involving deer. The DNR has had representatives on television to warn about the problem. I hit a deer once. They can cause a lot of damage to a car.
Last Thanksgiving, my mother in-law arrived at our house a bit shook up. She had just hit a deer with her car. The deer ran off and mil’s car wasn’t damaged. We were so thankful!

A lot of people actually don’t realize how dangerous it is for people in a car to hit a deer. You always just think about how bad you’ll feel for the animal, but it could easily kill you (not to mention you could go off the road, increasing the risk of injury or death).
I actually saw one about 3 weeks ago in the middle of the day on a dirt road on the way back from the lake… It blended right in with the road, it was the exact same color… it was so weird. Luckily I saw it about 100 feet before I got there and I was able to slow down without hitting it or skidding off the dirt road. (Oddly, when I was a teenager I went off in to the ditch just yards from this spot, lol)
Thanks god that your mother in-law and the deer didn’t get hurt.
