Vacation in Maui
Since I was checking on hotels in Vegas, I played around a bit and checked on some great places to stay in Hawaii. If Lynn and I ever get to return to Hawaii, I would like to spend a week in a private getaway in Maui. I found a website that is a wonderful source for beautiful and economical Maui vacation rentals.
I know that there are beautiful hotels in Maui but, we have done that type of vacation. I want to see Hawaii the way the residents view Hawaii. Besides, hotels are noisy and full of other people. You have to eat out all the time when you stay at a hotel.
I found a cabana styled home in Kula. Kula is located in what is called the “up country” part of Maui. Located off the beaten path, it is the perfect place for a peaceful and restful vacation. The flowering plants shown in the picture took my breath away. I am ready to go!

I did a couple of quick searches and those prices really aren’t that bad… $200 (give or take) per night. Looks awfully tempting as winter is slowly on it’s way here right now.
