Algonquin

Ever since Stacy went to boot camp at Cape May, New Jersey, I have been interested in the history of that area. So when Charlotte mentioned Cape May diamonds on her South Jersey blog, I had to check it out. I discovered that Cape May Point was the tribal headquarters of the Kechemeche Indians! These Indians were blood affiliates of the Algonquin Nation, a peace loving tribe of aborigines. Now I know why there are streets and buildings with the name Algonquin on them. I couldn’t figure out what on earth Algonquin could be! Thanks Charlotte. The article about the diamonds is very interesting also.
