Wine from Washington

I have cousins who live in eastern Washington. The talk is how the wine industry is booming there. Washington Produces Elegant Types of Wine is the talk amongst the farmers all around that area. In fact, in just ten short years the wine business has risen from an emerging beginner to a dominant producer of premium wine. There are several reasons for this great industry success.

The climate is wonderful for the grape crop, especially in eastern Washington. The seasons are long and the winter is short and mild in Washington. That means that the sun shines much of the time. Warm air is produced because the Cascades mountain range is a natural barrier that limits rain and keeps inland Washington warm.

The soil is rich in nutrients needed for growing the luscious fruit. It also drains rapidly which is essential for grapevines that thrive on a dry arid climate. There are three main rivers that flow through Washington offering irrigation to the crops.

Are you interested in purchasing fine wines? Serious buyers are turning to Washington red wines such as Long Shadows. Long Shadows is a collection of luxury brands produced by master wine makers. These wine makers have traveled to Washington and caused quite a stir. Many marvelous vintage wines are being rated as exquisite. Wine Advocate, an important judge of fine wines has given two of Long Shadows wines a 94-point rating by Wine Advocate.

There has been a great influx of great wine makers who have settled in the state of Washington. We all will enjoy the luxury of fine wines produced from the evergreen state!
