Evaluating As A Tool
I am fuming. I responded to a survey on a salesman who calls on our store. I hate answering surveys. They want you to answer a question with a rating of 1-4. 4 is the the highest rate. I said 3 on a few things because the salesman is not up to par on those items. That doesn’t mean I think he is a poor salesman. Now, his boss thinks I gave him a poor evaluation. If the company used 360 degree evaluation software, they would get a clear picture of what I was trying to say. Halogen is a web-based employee performance management and career development solution that gives clear assessments. Employees and managers are able to see where strengths and weaknesses lie and work on those areas. The software is so easy to utilize. I think I will send them some information on it.
In the meantime, I have to calm this guys nerves because he is walking on eggshells every time he calls on our store. He is a good salesman and doesn’t deserve the evaluation he received.
