Feeds
There is a part on #2 on 101 Steps to Becoming A Better Blogger that I forgot to do. Here I am, admitting this in front of everyone by putting it here on my blog. I hope that pushes me to get it done!
This is Step 2 as taken from Marcus’s blog.
(Marcus’s words)
Well, this is the second post of my 101 steps series. Today we are going to talk about feedburner.
I found this RSS icon here and then just turned it 45 degrees so it would be unique. You can use it too, just click to Download Big RSS icon here. Then right click on the image and save as. I set it at a height and width both at 125. You can set it what you like but I wanted it to stand out. I also linked it to my feedburner subscribe page so people could subscribe there.
Now, you just have to go to feedburner and sign up. It is a simple process.
1.) You just go to feedburner.com and click on the little register button in the top right of the screen.
2.) Now you just fill in the basic information like name, username, password, and stuff.
3.) The next screen will ask you for your blog URL.
4.) Now it will ask you which feed you want to use. Mine had 3 options so I am sure yours will have similar choices. I chose the rss2? option. I am not real sure what the difference is so I just chose that one.
5.) Now, it is gonna ask you what features you want. Since Google bought feedburner all of the Pro features have become free. I chose all of the features except for the one for podcasting.
6.) Now you are pretty much done. You can explore the various tabs now. I like the Publicize tab. About halfway down the page it says you can get the FeedCount widget. This is the one that you can customize (thumbnail #7) and put the little window in your sidebar. It tells how many subscribers you have. Once you get this done come let me know and I will subscribe to yours so you will have at least a number 1 in there. I would love for you to reciprocate. Mine has been at 4 for a while.

I am subscribing to yours now! That 4 wont last long!
Feedburner is great, so much better than having all of those little ‘chicklet’ things cluttering up you very clean blog.
