Granny Squares

Published by at 8:50 am under friends

Yesterday, my friend Tina, taught me how to make granny squares! It is so much fun. My squares don’t look as pretty as hers do but they aren’t too bad. We are making squares for the Share A Square Project.

I’m putting the pattern here so I don’t lose it.

Chain 3 and join with a slip stich in the beginning which is the first stitch.

Chain 3, which counts as the first double crochet and make 2 more double crochets in the hole which has been formed.  Chain 1 and then 3 more double crochets in the hole again,

Then chain 1, 3 more double crochets , chain 1, three more double crochets.  which is the second corner and do this until you get back to the first place you chained which by then you will have 4 corners.

Slip stitch over to the center of the hole (which is the chain 1 space and then start all over again.
