Protective Sunglasses

Published by under entertainment

One thing that Lynn and I are picky about when we ride the motorcycle is that we wear quality protective eyewear. Wiley X has stylish eyewear that fits many types of sporting activities. Many Wiley X motorcycle sunglasses have a removable foam eye cup to protect eyes from wind, dust and water. Just one bug in your eye will teach you to protect your eyes. I wear them to keep the wind from drying out my eyes. It is a good idea to wear protective sunglasses.

Baby Quilt

Published by under friends

Just had to take a break to show you that I am making progress on the baby quilt. The baby shower is at 2:00 this afternoon. I hope I make it! I thought I better take a picture even though it isn’t finished. Once I get it done, I might have to throw it in a gift bag and head out to the party.

Must Have

Published by under a bit of everything

I know that I am spoiled. I could not live without some things. I love having a timer on my coffee pot. You would have to run me down to take my washer and dryer.
Auto air conditioning is something that I take for granted. A few weeks ago, Mom and I drove the work van to Indianapolis to pick up some supplies for the business. The van doesn’t have air conditioning so we rolled the windows down. We were so tired from driving that van! The wind coming in the windows took its toll on us and we felt wiped out. You can take away my peanut butter but don’t take my car’s air conditioning!

Greg Has Nice Stuff

Published by under family

I am jealous of my own son! That is terrible. He just graduated from college and is moving to his own apartment. He has been buying things like a new coffee pot and new cookware. He has the prettiest new dishes. I WANT NEW STUFF!!! I just don’t think it is fair. When Lynn and I got married, we got bowls that had contained margarine. Our dishes were ones I got when I put money into our savings account at the bank. We got mismatched towels and sheets for wedding gifts. Whine, whine, whine. I’m awful. Sorry.

North Carolina is a Popular Place

Published by under friends

Last year, Stacy went to a wedding in Beaufort, North Carolina. She stayed at an awesome resort. The wedding was held on the grounds of an old mansion. The rolling hills made for a pretty setting. One day this week, I was talking to a customer and she asked how Stacy was doing. I mentioned that Stacy lives in North Carolina. She was so surprised because her daughter also lives in North Carolina! I am guessing that Beaufort NC real estate is a popular one. LOL I can imagine why. It is a beautiful place. It is so close to visit historical sites and to go to the beach. North Carolina has a lot to offer.

I Want Those Concert Tickets!

Published by under entertainment

Do you know who Chris Botti is? I love his music. I think I have all of his cds. I don’t know why, but I seem drawn to the songs where he has a vocalist and he plays in the background. I would love to go to one of his concerts. My mother in-law has concert tickets to see him and she doesn’t even know who he is! Isn’t that wild? I’ve been hinting to her that I REALLY like his music. Maybe she’ll take pity on me and the tickets will be mine! LOL

Dreaming of a Beautiful Home

Published by under a bit of everything

I love being in the floor covering business. Occasionally though, I get envious of the customer who is getting to build the home of their dreams. Their luxury home has so much space that I would love to entertain all the time. I like the idea of four bathrooms and my kitchen would have double ovens. At least I can live through my customer’s eyes when they come in to pick out floor covering for their beautiful new home.

Ride the Ducks

Published by under travel

Have you ever been sight seeing via Ride The Ducks? I never have! Each vehicle resembles the famous WWII DUKW amphibious design. They look as if they would be a ball to travel on. I think that my sister and her family rode on the Duck at Wisconsin Dells. I think I am going to check into where we can sight see using The Ducks!

Day Dreaming

Published by under travel

I know that I just got back from vacation, but I had such a good time that I can’t quit thinking about how nice it was to travel. We were at Kitty Hawk and saw where Orville and Wilbur Wright flew the first airplane. It gives me goose bumps to think we were in the same area where those two brothers walked. I wonder if they argued.

The beach was fantastic. It felt so good to get some sun. When I got hot I could take a dip in the ocean. The water was cold at first, but then it was so refreshingly cool.

Since I have to be here at work, I decided to play around with virtual travel! At Sidestep.com, you can put in a destination and go anywhere you want. I checked on Philadelphia Hotels because ever since we went to Gettysburg last year, I have wanted to go to Philadelphia and check out more civil war history.

I am so surprised to find that an airline ticket from Indianapolis to Philadelphia is only $209.00. Wow! This site can find some bargains. That leaves me more money to visit all of the activities that Sidestep has listed. I chose the $18 Constitutional Walking Tour of Philadelphia. They also listed Ride the Ducks. That activity would be great for families. I am so excited! Now if I could just get another week off from work. Sigh…

Midge

Published by under entertainment

When I was a little girl my sisters and I played with Barbie dolls. My sister had Barbie and I had Midge. I loved Midge because she had the coolest flip hairdo. The flip was a ringlet that went all the way around the bottom of her hair. You could pull that sucker all the way out and let go and it would bounce back just the way it was. LOL

I admire my mom for making all the doll clothes for our dolls. I made a few American Girl doll clothes and they were hard enough. I can’t imagine how hard it was to make those tiny sleeves on Barbie clothes. Thanks mom!
