Just The Way Things Are

Published by under a bit of everything

My sister sent me this information in an email. They are so true that they are funny!

1. A day without sunshine is like night.

2. On the other hand, you have different fingers.

3. 42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

4. 99 percent of lawyers give the rest a bad name .

5. Remember, half the people you know are below average.

6. He who laughs last, thinks slowest.

7. Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.

8. The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese in
the trap.

9. Support bacteria. They’re the only culture some people have.

10. A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.

11. Change is inevitable, except from vending machines.

12. If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.

13. How many of you believe in psycho-kinesis? Raise my hand.

14. OK, so what’s the speed of dark?

15. When everything is coming your way, you’re in the wrong lane.

16. Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.

17. How much deeper would the ocean be without sponges?

18. Eagles may soar, but weasels don’t get sucked into jet engines

19. What happens if you get scared half to death, twice?

20. Why do psychics have to ask you for your name?

21. Inside every older person is a younger person wondering, “What the hell
happened?”

22. Just remember — if the world didn’t suck, we would all fall off.

23. Light travels faster than sound. That’s why some people appear bright
until you hear them speak.

24. Life isn’t like a box of chocolates . . it’s more like a jar of
jalapenos. What you do today, might burn your butt tomorrow.

Gospel Concert

Published by under entertainment

Saturday we began our weekend at Shipshewana. We had a concert package to see The Crabb Family, a gospel singing group. They were awesome. We were really tapping our toes and clapping our hands. The instrumentals were amazing. Those guys and gals can make those instruments talk. I love to see talent like that. It was a 2 1/2 hour concert because everyone was enjoying it so much that they just kept singing. We got to bed really late and were up at 6:30 am to attend church in La Grange. The minister gave a 10 minute sermon! I loved that.

I need a little favor, please

Edit: I guess my blog is unavailable to review for now. When it is available I will ask again. Thanks. If anyone knows how to make my page available for reviews please let me know.
Can I ask a favor? I am trying to increase my ranking of this blog so that when I write ads, I can do a good job. It only takes a minute to say a few words. Thanks so much. If you want me to reciprocate I would love to do that. Thanks.

Today I read a lot of new blogs. I participated in the Blog Carnival that was hosted by Colleen at Simple Kind of Life. The theme was Television. I wrote about how I loved The Andy Griffith Show. You should participate in a Blog Carnival. You will increase your writing skills and meet new people as you discover their blogs. Fun, fun, fun!

My Sinister Side

Published by under entertainment

I sometimes think I have a sinister side. I love to watch documentaries about crime. I watch shows about horrible people like Jeffery Dahmer. I read the book, Helter Skelter and couldn’t go to bed for a long time without checking under the bed first. I kept waiting for Charles Manson to pop out. I watch the Discovery Channel quite a bit. My channel changer gets stuck on channels showing a story about some crime in a small town. I have to stay there and find out what happened, sometimes, only to find it hasn’t been resolved. Did you ever see the show about the woman who poisoned her husbands? I think they called her the Black Widow. The story that still makes me mad is the one where the mother had so many children who died of sudden death syndrome. Why did it take so long for the people in her town to question that pattern in her life? I love to watch America’s Most Wanted. I think I should have been a Psychologist who studied the minds of crazed criminals.

Diana Ross

Published by under entertainment

Last night we saw Diana Ross sing on American Idol. This is an interview she did in January on Live with Regis and Kelly. She is an icon. Even if I didn’t win AI I would consider my experience a success just by being in the same room as many of these talented people.

What the heck is a Saleen?

Published by under friends

Jenn, I have to see a picture of your Saleen. I think it is so cool that this gal has a car for her second baby! Check out
Where’s Mommy’s Prozac ? Don’t you just love that name? She and her hubby each have a Saleen. I can just picture her beebopping around in that cool car. That is, I could picture it if I knew what that car looked like! For now I will just be visualizing her in a Mustang since that is the type of car my daughter has. Jenn is just going to have to put up with that until she posts a picture. LOL

Crazy, but that’s how it goes

Published by under friends

While reading through blogs I came across a blogger, Jenn, who sounds a lot like me 30 years ago. She is an avid writer who talks about her family and friends. It is hard to believe she has a daughter who is 14. I’ve been enjoying her daily blogs as she talks about how she and mulletthead got engaged and then about their normal every day life. I just discovered that Jenn reads Sandee’s blog I Will Survive. Sandee is an amazing woman who cheers others with cancer to fight the dragon even while battle the evil dragon herself. If you want to read a fresh insight on life type of blog read Crazy, but that’s how it goes.
